Bad Credit But Want To Buy A Car?

Many people think that owning a car is some kind of god given right that comes with being born.  This probably comes from the fact that in the US we have developed a country and lifestyle that is based on car travel.  Our cities are planned with cars in mind.  We have developed entire housing communities based on car travel. We have actually come to think of the car as part of the family.  This desire for cars has ran smack, dab into the reality that cars are no longer cheap toys.  They cost a lot and they cost a lot to operate.

The first question to ask yourself if you want to buy a car with no credit is do you  really need a car or do you just want a toy. The fact is, public transportation is getting better and better and maybe you don’t need the expense of a car.  But lets say you live in the country and you have to have your own transportation.  How do you get a car with bad credit?

The easiest way is to find someone who can co-sign for you.  A co-signer is someone who signs the loan papers with you and guarantees that the loan will be paid.  Thus, if you stop making payments the co-signer is stuck footing the bill.  Since the bank has a better guarantee that they will be paid back, this type of loan is easy to get.

If the problem is you don’t have any credit then you really should start building your credit rating up.  You do this by borrowing money on a loan and then paying it back on time.  A good credit rating is important because it is hard to even buy a house with bad credit.  You can improve your rating by borrowing a small amount from a bank and paying it off on time.  Then you borrow a little more and pay that off.  After a few of these small loans you will have a decent credit score.

You can also get a credit card and be sure to make all the payments on time to build your credit up.  Credit cards are harder to get though so you many want to try your bank first.
